Radiation survey meters are portable, handheld devices—commonly Geiger counters or scintillation counters—used to detect and measure ionizing radiation (, , , X-rays) for safety, mapping, and decontamination. To use, fill a tall cylinder, gently float the hydrometer, spin to remove bubbles, and read the scale at the liquid's surface line

A plane table set is used for graphical, on-site surveying where mapping, plotting, and observation occur simultaneously, ensuring no missing data. The set, including a table, tripod, and alidade, is ideal for small-scale mapping and topographic mapping by plotting points, measuring distances, and sketching in the field.
